About BuildStack

BuildStack is a hub of small, focused web tools for tasks people run into once, do carefully, and move on from: estimating import duty, comparing shipping costs, formatting labels and photos to spec, editing PDFs, and checking an EPUB before submitting it. Nothing here needs an account.

Why these tools exist

Most calculators like this are buried inside larger paid platforms, or show up as ad-choked pages that make you dig for the actual number. BuildStack tries to do less: one tool, one page, a clear answer, and honest notes about what the tool does and doesn't cover. Several tools (the photo resizer, PDF editor, label generator, and EPUB checker) run entirely in your browser — nothing about the file you're working with is ever sent to a server.

Who's behind it

BuildStack is built and maintained by an independent developer, with heavy use of AI-assisted coding tools during development. It's a small, ongoing project rather than a company — see the disclaimers on each tool for what that means in practice: use these tools to get a quick estimate or handle a routine task, not as a substitute for professional advice on anything with real money, legal, or compliance consequences riding on it.
