Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-25
BuildStack doesn't have accounts and doesn't require sign-up. This page describes what actually happens with your data when you use a tool here, including the analytics/advertising tooling described below — it'll be updated whenever that changes.
Tools that never leave your browser
The Visa & Passport Photo Resizer, PDF Editor & Signer, Label & Barcode Sheet Generator, and EPUB Format Checker all run entirely client-side. A photo, PDF, CSV, or EPUB you upload to one of these tools is processed in your browser's memory and never transmitted to BuildStack's servers — there is no upload endpoint in that code, and you can verify this yourself by opening your browser's network tab while using them. The photo resizer's face-detection feature does fetch a fixed set of model files from Google's and jsdelivr's CDNs the first time you use it (a normal, non-personalized file download, not related to your photo), which means those two hosts see that a request was made from your IP address, the same as loading any other resource on any website.
Tools that send inputs to our server
The Tariff & Customs Calculator, International Shipping Cost Comparator, and Landed Cost Calculator compute their results on the server, so the numbers you enter (HS code and declared value; weight, dimensions, and destination; or declared value, duty, shipping, and destination country) are sent to BuildStack's backend to calculate a result and sent back. We don't store these submissions in a database or log them beyond the normal, short-lived request handling needed to answer the request.
Advertising and tags
BuildStack runs Google AdSense, which serves ads and, as part of how it works, sets cookies and uses similar technology to personalize ads and measure their performance — including, depending on your settings and location, information about your visits to this and other sites. You can control how Google uses this data at Google Ads Settings, and see how Google uses information from sites that use its services for the full picture.
BuildStack also uses Google Tag Manager to load AdSense and, as of 2026-08-25, Google Analytics (GA4). GA4 collects standard usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (from IP address, not stored precisely), device/browser type, and which tool you used — to help us understand which tools are actually useful. It sets its own cookies to do this. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
If you're visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent banner (served through Google's Consent Management Platform) before any personalized ad cookies are set — you can choose to consent, decline, or manage options in more detail from that banner.
What our infrastructure providers see
BuildStack is hosted on Cloudflare. Like effectively any web host, Cloudflare's infrastructure processes standard technical information for every request — IP address, request timing, and similar metadata — for security, performance, and operational purposes, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. BuildStack doesn't separately collect or have access to anything beyond that.
Cookies
BuildStack itself doesn't set cookies for login or preferences — there's no account system. Google AdSense and Google Tag Manager (see above) set their own cookies as part of how they work.
